Stacey Castro Media has signed South American star GONZALO VIVANCO for worldwide, exclusive management.  The Chilean born, bilingual actor stars in "Young & Wild", just named winner of the Best Screenplay prize in the World Cinema section at this year's Sundance Film Festival. 

Vivanco has toplined dozens of Spanish language films and TV series (for Sony, Fox, Telemundo, Univision, etc) in the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Venezuela.  He is currently filming "La Traicionera (The Traitor)" for Fox/Colombia.

"Blackthorn" has received ELEVEN Goya Award nominations. The film co-stars Bolivian actor CRISTIAN MERCADO ("Che").  This time last year, Cristian also starred in "Undertow (Contracorriente)", 2011 Official Academy Award Selection for Best Foreign Film.

The official trailer is finally cut for Portugal's 2x Best Actor, IVO CANELAS' new film, period biopic 'Florbela'.  Based on the life of acclaimed Portuguese poet Florbela Espanca (1894-1930) and her tragic and tangled love live with her brother.  Yes, her brother. Up & coming British actress HANNAH NEW will next be seen on the season finale of Spain's #1 rated TV series "El Barco".  The multi-lingual actress has just wrapped her lead role as 1940s British spy Rosalinda Fox in the 11-part period drama, "El Tiempo Entre Costuras" for Antena 3/Spain.  Watch Hannah's interview.

Stacey Castro Media has signed top South American casting director WENDY ALCAZAR for international management of her casting career involving co-productions with countries outside of South America.  Wendy brings with her a knowledge base of creme-de-la-creme talent in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Venezuela, Chile and Argentina. 

The fluently-English speaking Bolivian is based in La Paz and most recently cast "Blackthorn", the international co-production between Spain, France, Bolivia the U.S. The film, directed by Spain's Mateo Gil (co-writer and long-time collaborator of multiple award-winning director Alejandro Amenabar) co-stars another client, award-winning Bolivian actor CRISTIAN MERCADO.   The idea to sign Alcazar came in response to the many recent inquiries requesting assistance and information about talent in Latin America at both the indie filmmaker and major Hollywood studio levels, alike.  The decision factored in the ever-growing number of European and U.S. filmmakers using the continent's affordable and varied locations, experienced crew and relatively untapped pool of talent.  The signing of Alcazar will address the needs of execs and creatives seeking to collaborate creatively and financially with South America.

We are very happy to announce that up & coming British actress, HANNAH NEW is now being agented by Peter Brooks @ CAM in London for theatrical representation.  The fluently multi-lingual beauty just received her Masters in Acting degree from the prestigous Central School for Speech and Drama in her native London and is currently filming a lead role as historical figure Rosalinda Fox, a British spy, in the 11 part mini-series adaptation of Spain's non-fiction best seller, "El Tiempo Entre Costuras". 

 She will next be seen in "Fuga De Cerebros 2", sequel to the blockbuster teen angst comedy produced by Spain's Globomedia.  The film opens 2 December in Spain.

BENEDITA PEREIRA, winner of 2009 Portugal Television Awards Best Actress statuette, has lent her voice for "Max Payne 3", the new installment of the ultra-successful vidgame franchise from Rockstar Games.

Filming is currently underway in North Carolina on the supernatural thriller "The Healer" (US/Italy). The cast, assembled by L.A.-based international casting director MATTHEW LESSALL, stars Joel Courtney ("Super 8"), Isabelle Fuhrman ("Orphan") and 2x Academy Award nominee Peter Bogdanovich. Prolific Italian film and TV producer Giuseppe Pedersoli and Susan Johnson team for a second time.

Lessall is now casting the indie feature -  "Jackie", for the Netherlands (Carice Van Houten stars); and the Brazil/France/China co-production, "Paradise", which shoots in Indonesia in November.
